The Board of Management and staff at Kilcleagh National School are deeply saddened by the untimely death of Sean Connolly.
We remember him with admiration, affection and love. His kind, gentle and inoffensive ways touched all of us.
He was so sincere, upright and decent, making himself special to everyone who had the privilege of being associated with him.
The quality of his living compensates for the shortness of his life.
Sean left his mark on our school through his involvement in the new extension. He took a personal interest in the project and had the work carried out in a most efficient way. The improved school situation is testament to his dedication, commitment and the professional standard he applied to everything he did.
As we enjoy the comforts of our new facilities we remember Sean in our prayers.
We extend to Deirdre, his wife, to Stephen & Aoife, his children and to Gerry and Susan, his brother and sister and also to his mother Jean our heartfelt sympathy.
May they gain strength and consolation from the life Sean lived, the example he gave and the love he showed.
May their faith sustain them in the thought that all he stood for and believed in and worked for on earth is now finding fulfillment and completion in Heaven.
May he Rest in Peace.

Our senior team made it through to the next stage of the Credit Union quiz which will be held on the weekend of 5th, 6th or 7th of March. We congratulate them and wish them well in the next round.

Quiz Team 2010

We have now been awarded our third Green Flag, the theme this time was Energy. Well done to all involved. This was our slogan for the theme.

To save our planet from ruin

Save Energy

Or we’ll be extinct very soon!

Keep Precious Water

So our wells won’t dry

And we won’t be moving to the moon so soon!

By: S. Fitzpatrick

Our slogan for our second Green Flag was:

We recycle,

We have fun,

We save Energy

And so should EVERYONE.

BY N. Young

We have been very lucky to be rewarded for all our hard work over the last 2 years by being awarded the Green Flag.
Our school started by looking around to see how much rubbish there was. After we made an “action plan” we put together a committee of 5 pupils and 3 teachers.

Our first slogan was:

Our Green Code

By: P. Holloway

We’re working to save the Environment,

We pick up litter at break,

We compost our waste,

Paper we shred!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Our second slogan was:

by Neil Young.

We Recycle,

We have fun,

We save Energy

And so should EVERYONE.
