Pancake Day

Tuesday 25th February was a very exciting day in Junior & Senior Infants.

It was Pancake Day.

We had started preparing on Monday by learning a rhyme about making pancakes. We listened to a story about a very naughty pancake who didn’t want to be eaten!

We even did a Pancake Dance – youtube/watch?v=vPccTY3sph4

On Pancake Tuesday we mixed flour, cracked eggs, poured milk and made a beautiful batter.

Then we got cooking and deciding on the most delicious toppings – chocolate sauce was our favourite!

We had a super day and learned lots.

Infant Classroom

Ms. O’Connell’s room is a very busy place! We welcomed 14 new junior infants and I new senior infant. There are 29 children in our room and we have great fun.

We play together every morning and we make a big mess. When we hear our “Tidy up Song” we work very hard to put everything away before we start our work. Have a look at us playing and getting to know each other!

Junior Tour

On Friday 21st June Junior & Senior Infants & 1st class were very excited. We were going on our school tour! We went all the way to Turoe Pet Farm. We played on bouncy castles, in bale pools, we met fluffy rabbits and saw lots of chickens and doves. We went on a lovely walk around the farm and we fed goats, lambs, llamas, alpacas, ponies and cows along the way. We also checked for the evil troll under the bridge! We saw lots of fairy doors and even a fairy playground. We all had a super day and when we got back to the school we had ice lollies!
